Healthforce is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery in Templeton, CA. This 13-week assignment offers guaranteed hours and a nightly 3x12 schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Start date 09/28/2026, pay range $2,296 to $2,449 weekly.

Experience in L&D, CA RN license, BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications, and EPIC familiarity preferred. Healthforce provides credentialing support and recruiter assistance throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

Graduate of a school of nursing (required).
Current RN license in California (required).
BLS, ACLS, NRP within 6 months of hire. NRP and AWHONN fetal monitoring training as specified.
AWHONN Advanced/Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required on hire and during tenure.
One year of recent acute care RN experience required.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for obstetric patients in L&D; assess, plan, implement, evaluate care.
Monitor fetal wellbeing and labor progress; administer meds and assist with procedures; respond to emergencies.
Coordinate and delegate patient care; collaborate with physicians and staff; participate in governance and quality initiatives.
Document care in EPIC; adhere to Nursing Standards and hospital policies.
Educate patients and families; support the LDRP care model.

Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date: 09/28/2026. 13-week contract with guaranteed hours. Pay range: $2,296 to $2,449 per week. Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). Work setting: Short term acute care hospital. This assignment is a Travel - Temporary Assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for obstetric patients in the L&D unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
Monitor fetal wellbeing and labor progress; administer medications and assist with obstetric procedures; respond to obstetric emergencies within scope of practice.
Coordinate, manage, provide and delegate patient care; collaborate with physicians, co-workers, and ancillary staff; participate in shared governance and quality initiatives.
Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC); maintain adherence to Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies.
Support the LDRP care model and promote patient- and family-centered care; educate patients and families as appropriate.
For orientation, nurses new to L&D will complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring during the first 6–8 months, followed by AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring every two years; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring is required on hire for experienced staff.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of a school of nursing (required)
Licenses: Current RN license in the state of practice (California) (required)
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire or transfer; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required on hire and every two years; AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course required during first 6–8 months for novices
Experience: One-year recent acute care RN experience (required)
Additional: EPIC experience is preferred
