Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week Travel Labor & Delivery assignment in Clearlake, CA.

Responsibilities include direct patient care from labor through postpartum, fetal monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team; CA RN license and BLS/NRP required; EPIC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• California RN license required.
• Current BLS certification.
• NRP and hospital conscious sedation certifications due within 6 months of employment.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required within six months of employment; recertification every two years.
• ACLS and STABLE certifications strongly preferred; initial ACLS within six months of employment.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; basic computer skills.
• 2+ years recent labor and delivery experience; 3–4 years’ night shift experience strongly preferred.
• Vaccinations required; E-Verify participation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care from labor through postpartum and newborn care up to 28 days old.
• Monitor maternal status and fetal well-being; perform fetal monitoring.
• Administer medications and analgesia per orders; assist with obstetric emergencies.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, neonatology, and care teams; supervise and coordinate care.
• Document care in EPIC and maintain accurate, timely charting.
• Uphold patient safety, infection control, HIPAA; participate in on-call coverage and codes.

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Travel) for a 13-week assignment in Clearlake, California. Start date: 09/14/2026. Weekly pay range: $2,699–$2,863. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 nights (6:00 PM–6:30 AM). Setting: Critical Access Hospital with a Labor & Delivery unit. Assignment is administered through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for women from labor through postpartum and care for newborns up to 28 days old; support breastfeeding and infant follow‑up as appropriate
• Monitor maternal status and fetal well‑being, perform fetal monitoring, and respond to changes in labor as part of the care team
• Administer medications and analgesia per orders; assist with obstetric emergencies and newborn stabilization when needed
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, neonatology, and other disciplines; supervise and coordinate care across teams
• Document care and records in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and maintain accurate, timely charting
• Uphold patient safety, infection control, HIPAA, and confidentiality standards; participate in on‑call coverage and code events as required

Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current NRP certification and hospital conscious sedation certification; initial certification within six months of employment and recertification every two years
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required within six months of employment; recertification every two years
• ACLS and STABLE certifications are strongly preferred; initial ACLS certification within six months of employment and recertified every two years
• EPIC experience preferred
• Education: graduate from an accredited school of nursing; basic computer skills
• Experience: 2+ years recent labor and delivery experience; 3–4 years’ night shift experience strongly preferred; postpartum and newborn care experience desired
• Vaccinations required as a condition of employment (exemptions may apply); E-Verify participation is required
