Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel) in Los Angeles, CA. This ER-focused travel assignment begins on 10/26/2026 and runs for 13 weeks in a home healthcare - hospice setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,131 to $2,198 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM-7:30 AM). The assignment is sponsored by Healthforce Healthcare LLC. This role requires Epic EMR experience and California RN licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care for a patient or patient group in a home healthcare - hospice setting, applying emergency room nursing principles as appropriate.
• Triage and assess patient needs, monitor status, and adjust care plans in coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments, manage IV therapy, and respond to clinical changes or emergencies within scope of practice.
• Document all care and interventions in the Epic EMR; communicate clearly with physicians, social workers, and other team members.
• Educate patients and families on disease process, treatment plans, and safety; participate in discharge planning and transitions of care.
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff as assigned, ensuring patient safety, privacy, and quality of care.

Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) - active and in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved provider
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) training - required
• Epic EMR experience - required
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience: At least two years of recent RN experience in the field
• Skills: Ability to work nights and in a home healthcare - hospice environment; strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
