Job summary

Healthforce seeks a Registered Nurse – ER for a travel assignment in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This 13-week contract starts 11/09/2026 with 24 guaranteed hours per week and 12-hour night shifts (approx. 7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Weekend coverage is required in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital ER.

ER experience and a Wisconsin RN license are required; Epic charting is used; potential unit float within a defined radius may be needed.

Qualifications

• ER nursing experience 3–5+ years
• Wisconsin RN license or eligibility
• ADN or Diploma required; BSN preferred
• Travel experience is preferred
• Epic charting experience in last year; able to float and cover weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ER patient care including triage, assessment, treatment and monitoring of acutely ill or injured patients
• Administer medications and perform procedures as ordered; monitor for adverse reactions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams; communicate status changes promptly
• Document care in Epic; maintain charting within the last year
• Participate in unit activities such as ISTAT, blood sampling, and maintaining supplies
• Float to related departments and other facilities within a defined radius; cover holiday rotations

Overview

Registered Nurse – ER needed for a travel assignment in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This 13-week contract runs beginning 11/09/2026 with guaranteed 24 hours per week. You’ll work 12-hour nights (approximately 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with every weekend coverage (Sat/Sun) in a short-term acute care hospital setting. ER experience and a Wisconsin RN license are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ER, including triage, assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring of acutely ill or injured patients
• Administer medications, perform procedures as ordered, and monitor for adverse reactions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams; communicate changes in patient status promptly
• Document care and interventions in Epic, with attention to accuracy and timeliness; maintain charting within the last year
• Participate in unit activities such as point-of-care testing, blood sampling, ISTAT reporting, and maintaining supply levels
• Float to related departments and other facilities within a defined radius as needed; support coverage during holiday rotations

Requirements

• Licensure: Wisconsin RN license (or eligibility to practice in Wisconsin)
• Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, TNCC (required)
• Education: ADN or Diploma required; BSN strongly preferred, not mandatory
• Experience: ER RN experience 3–5+ years required; one prior completed travel contract required
• Additional: Epic charting experience in the last year; ability to work 12-hour night shifts; flexible for unit float and weekend rotations
