Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a Travel Reefer Trailer Technician/Mechanic near Kansas City, KS. This full-time, 100% travel position offers $35.00-$48.00 per hour with weekly pay and benefits within 30 days.

The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered reefer systems, performing PMs, and meeting safety standards while traveling to customer sites nationwide. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on reefer experience, EPA 608 certification, a valid license, and the ability to

Qualifications

5+ years’ hands-on experience working on reefer units and trailer refrigeration systems.
EPA Section 608 Certification required.
Valid driver’s license.
Own and maintain personal tools and toolbox for the role.

Responsibilities

Perform timely repairs and maintenance on reefer units, including diesel-powered refrigeration systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical issues on trailer reefer units.
Complete preventive maintenance on A/C and refrigeration systems.
Conduct DOT inspections and trailer repairs when reefer units are in working condition.
Ensure vehicles and refrigeration units meet safety and compliance standards.
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
