Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking an experienced Refrigerated Trailer Mechanic (Reefer Tech) in Middletown, OH. The role offers $34.00 - $40.00 per hour with weekly pay and full benefits within 30 days.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Carrier and Thermo King reefer units and APUs. EPA 608 certification is required, with a shift Tue-Sat 7:00am-3:30pm. Join a leading fleet maintenance company and advance your career.

Qualifications

5+ years’ hands-on experience with reefer units and trailer refrigeration systems.
Strong proficiency in reefer (diesel-powered refrigeration) units, PMs, and A/C systems.
EPA Section 608 Certification is REQUIRED.
Experience repairing refrigeration units on heavy-duty trailers.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

Perform timely repairs and maintenance on reefer units, including diesel-powered refrigeration systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical issues on trailer reefer units.
Complete preventive maintenance and service on A/C and refrigeration systems.
Conduct DOT inspections and trailer repairs when reefer units are in working condition.
Ensure vehicles and refrigeration units meet safety and compliance standards.
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
