Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Superintendent to supervise craft employees within the Electrical construction discipline. The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, and coordination across multiple departments on field projects.

The ideal candidate will have a 4-year engineering degree (or equivalent) and 6+ years of relevant experience, with strong leadership and communication skills to manage large teams and maintain project timelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in similar facility construction projects.
• 4-year engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
• Ability to supervise large groups and apply effective management techniques.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Actively supports safety and core values.
• Plans and supervises work activities, determines construction method, safety procedures, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Coordinates work with various crafts, departments, and other contractors.
• Maintains liaison with safety, engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure compliance with safety policies and project schedules.
• Conducts field safety audits and accident investigations as required.
• Requisitions manpower through HR and ensures material availability aligns with schedule.
• Ensures quality through liaison with Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering.
