Job summary

Matrix Service in the United States seeks a Superintendent to supervise craft employees in the Electrical construction discipline. The role focuses on planning, safety, and coordination across crafts to meet project schedules and quality standards.

The position requires 6+ years in similar facilities, 1+ year leadership of craft teams, and a 4-year engineering degree or equivalent. Strong communication and MS Excel skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in a similar facility, including construction tech, methods, equipment, tools, and procedures.
• 1+ years' experience supervising craft employees.
• 4-year engineering degree or equivalent training/experience.
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
• Ability to supervise large groups and apply effective management techniques.
• Excellent oral and written communication; proficient with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plans and supervises work activities; determines method, safety requirements, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Coordinates work with other crafts, departments and contractors to meet project goals.
• Maintains liaison with safety, engineering, estimating and planning to ensure compliance with specs and schedules.
• Resolves issues, conducts field safety audits, and documents corrective actions.
• Maintains liaison with HR for manpower requisitions and conducts accident investigations when needed.
• Ensures materials, inspections, and equipment support craft activities and schedules.
