Job summary

Legacy Commercial Property is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of approximately 55 retail properties across Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. The role requires 50–70% overnight travel and field-based work from a home office.

You will coordinate repairs, manage vendor relationships, and support leasing opportunities while maintaining strong tenant relations and property operations. This is an exempt, full-time position with no direct reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred for the role.
• Commercial property management experience is required.
• Leasing or sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with tenants to understand their business needs.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements for each property.
• Manage third-party vendor relationships for services and inspections.
• Oversee bid process and vendor selection for recurring services and capex.
• Prepare property condition reports and participate in inspections.
