Job summary

Divcon Controls is seeking a Control Technician to join our field team with responsibilities for DDC/BAS or PLC project work. You will perform installation verification, startup support, field documentation, and issue escalation under the supervision of Senior and Lead Technicians.

This role requires regular travel; per diem and lodging are provided per company policy. You will contribute to turnkey project delivery for HVAC and related systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in the field installing and commissioning DDC/PLC systems.
• Ability to verify field installations against drawings, schedules and specs.
• Willingness to travel regularly for project work.

Responsibilities

• Start up, commission, and re‑commission systems that use DDC or PLC technology.
• Troubleshoot mid‑level system issues and coordinate with subcontractors and other trades for proper operation.
• Verify field installations against drawings, schedules, point lists, network architecture, addressing tables and project docs; flag discrepancies.
• Provide turnkey project delivery on specific site systems.
• Handle Unitary systems (VAV/FPB/FCU) and small AHUs/CRAHs; basic CW/HW systems.
• Perform verification checks per L2–L4 requirements and support L5 IST commissioning for data center projects.
• Understand common communication protocols.
