AccentCare, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant in Temple, TX. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide patient care, educate patients and families, and contribute to an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy, an active license, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license for travel to locations. This full-time role emphasizes productivity and quality care within agency guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Valid license to practice in the state of operation.
• Must possess and maintain CPR certification.
• Must be a licensed driver who can travel to all business locations.
• Ability to implement care plans and communicate findings to the Physical Therapist and physician.
• Ability to educate patients and families in basic home safety and medical equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and documents treatment per physician orders, agency policy, and patient needs.
• Documents interventions, approaches, and treatment priorities.
• Delivers organized and efficient patient treatment, including education and counseling.
• Presents patient information to supervising therapist and updates the team on status.
• Provides skilled treatment within agency and payer guidelines.
• Coordinates with team on treatment planning and intervention.
• Completes daily notes and required forms to prevent interruptions in patient care.
• Meets productivity standards and attends agency meetings and committees.
• Negotiates patient participation in treatment and scheduling.
