Job summary

AccentCare Inc. seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Victoria, TX team.

Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will provide treatment, educate patients and families, and help manage a caseload in line with agency productivity standards. Requirements include an associate degree in Physical Therapy, current Texas license, CPR certification, and the ability to travel to all locations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Valid license/registration/permit to practice in state of operation.
• CPR certification must be current.
• Must be a licensed driver who can travel to all business locations.
• Able to implement care plans and communicate findings to the Physical Therapist and physician.
• Educate patients and families in home safety and medical equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and documents treatment per physician orders and policy.
• Documents interventions, approaches, materials and treatment priorities.
• Delivers organized patient treatment including education and counseling.
• Presents patient information to supervising therapist; keeps team informed of status.
• Provides skilled treatment within agency and payer guidelines.
• Collaborates with team on treatment planning and intervention.
• Completes daily notes and required forms promptly to avoid care interruptions.
• Meets productivity standards and uses work hours efficiently.
• Attends agency meetings and committees as assigned.
• Negotiates patient participation in treatment and scheduling.
