Job summary

GoEngineer is seeking a Metal Field Services Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair metal additive manufacturing equipment at customer facilities. This role focuses on laser powder bed fusion technology and aims to help customers implement and sustain their additive manufacturing operations.

Travel to customer sites will be 50–70%. Preferred locations include Utah and Texas; California is possible for highly qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience with metal additive manufacturing is required.
• Experience with laser powder bed fusion technology strongly preferred.
• Field service, industrial equipment maintenance, or OEM experience preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial lasers, motion systems, and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read technical documentation, schematics, and engineering instructions.
• Experience with SOLIDWORKS and additive manufacturing workflows is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a travel-intensive schedule.
• Valid driver's license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair metal additive manufacturing equipment.
• Travel to customer sites to support installations, preventative maintenance, and service requests.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and system-related issues.
• Support large customer deployments and complex installation projects.
• Collaborate with customers and internal technical teams to resolve issues and ensure equipment performance.
• Complete service documentation, reporting, and inventory tracking.
• Manage company tools, spare parts, and assigned assets.
• Deliver a professional and positive customer experience.
