Job summary

Thompson Health is seeking a Float Medical Office Assistant for Specialty Practices in the Canandaigua area. The MOA will support both Advanced Surgery and Specialty offices, handling clinical tasks such as vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, and chart documentation.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and efficient operations in a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth. Eligibility includes high school diploma and BLS; MOA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of an approved MOA program or MOA certification preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient exams and minor procedures.
• Process patient information, charting and POCT documentation.
• Stock supplies, manage rooming, take vitals and perform phlebotomy/EKGs as needed.
• Support care teams and participate in departmental meetings.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital regulations.

Education
