Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Texas-based Data Center Field Technician to install, maintain, and repair IT infrastructure across Texas and the United States. The role requires extensive travel and independent work in live data centers.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2+ years in data center/IT hardware, valid US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work nights and weekends. Certifications like CompTIA A+/Network+/Server+ are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years in a data center, telecommunications, structured cabling, or IT hardware role.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in hot/cold-aisle environments.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work nights/weekends.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred: CompTIA A+/Network+/Server+ and OSHA 10/30.
• BICSI or fiber testing experience; Dell/HPE/Cisco server experience.

Responsibilities

• Rack, cable, and bring up servers, switches, storage, and network equipment to site standards.
• Install, label, and test copper and fiber; maintain cable maps and rack elevations.
• Diagnose and replace failed hardware, including drives, memory, power supplies, NICs, and full units.
• Support deployments, remote-hands requests, and change-control work.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and project teams; complete field reports.
