Job summary

PGTEK Academy seeks an entry‑level Data Center Deployment Technician to support enterprise data centers nationwide. You will install and rack servers, manage cables, and assist with hardware upgrades under supervision, traveling to client sites across the United States.

Ideal candidates include military veterans or motivated individuals willing to learn, with mechanical aptitude, strong communication, and reliability. Training is provided and advancement opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Military experience or veteran status encouraged.
• Willingness to learn and participate in hands-on deployment work.
• Ability to work with tools and hardware in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork.
• Ability to travel nationally up to 60-70% and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble server racks.
• Rack and stack server, storage, and networking equipment.
• Swap components such as switches and servers.
• Perform cable management and labeling (power wiring).
• Place, set and level racks and perform hardware installations.
• Assist with inventory management and asset tracking.
• Follow installation procedures and quality standards.
• Travel to customer data centers across the United States.
