PGTEK Academy is seeking an Entry-Level Data Center Deployment Technician to help deploy and maintain enterprise server infrastructure. This role offers hands-on training, travel across the United States, and exposure to hyperscale data centers.

Ideal candidates are military veterans or transitioning professionals with mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic. No prior data center experience required; willingness to learn is essential.

Qualifications

• Military veterans encouraged to apply and transition into IT.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to travel 60–70% across the United States.
• Strong communication, dependability, and professionalism.
• No prior data center experience required; attitude matters.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble server racks and equipment
• Rack and stack server, storage, and networking gear
• Swap components and perform basic hardware upgrades
• Perform cable management and labeling
• Set up and level racks and install hardware
• Assist with inventory management and asset tracking
• Follow customer installation procedures and quality standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Travel to customer data centers nationwide
