Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Control Engineer to lead electrical, automation, and instrumentation for industrial water recycling systems. You’ll design, program, and test full automation solutions for dewatering and material handling in harsh environments.

Responsibilities include developing control architectures, testing panels, and supporting sales through automation content. Domestic travel 25–35% is required, with in-person work in Louisville, KY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Controls, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 1–3+ years of hands-on PLC and HMI programming, SCADA development, and/or control panel design
• Background in PLC programming, relay logic, and HMI programming
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for schematics and drawings
• Solid 4-20 mA circuit design and analog/digital electronics

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and instrumentation for industrial OEM equipment
• Conceive, develop, and program automation systems for process applications
• Define dewatering and bulk material processing and transport control solutions
• Design and select low and medium voltage switchgear
• Shop test control panels, starter panels, and automation systems before shipment
• Ensure designs meet engineering principles and product requirements
• Create practical control solutions aligned with project objectives
• Document technical data per policies and procedures
• Serve as a technical resource for automation questions across the organization
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers on requirements and solutions
• Travel domestically to commission systems and troubleshoot on-site
• Support sales and proposals with automation content
