Job summary

Xylem, a Fortune 500 water technology leader, is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer to expand the sale and rental of temporary and portable control systems for dewatering equipment. Join a team that designs control layouts in AutoCAD, reviews specifications, troubleshoots issues, and supports field startups.

Requires a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years in industrial automation; travel may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2+ years in industrial automation and control.
Ability to read electrical schematics, engineering specs and P&IDs.
PLC/HMI programming experience and panel design knowledge.
Willingness to travel frequently for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Prepare submittal documents for customers.
Develop control system layout and wiring drawings in AutoCAD.
Assist field technicians during job startups.
Review product specs to select pump and control equipment.
Troubleshoot performance issues with rental equipment.
Conduct job walks and answer technical questions for staff and customers.
Assist with control system performance testing.
Complete Pumps 101 training.
Participate in an 8-week apprenticeship in electrical and mechanical shop activities.
