Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Lead Electrical & Controls Engineer to support MWIS projects and collaborate with Mechanical Engineering to design control and automation strategies. You will develop control narratives, PLC programs and electrical drawings, while guiding commissioning and field support to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other Engineering Technical degree.
• 5 years of experience in the design of industrial water treatment systems.
• Proficiency with control platforms: Allen-Bradley, GE Fanuc, Wonderware, Siemens and related HMIs.
• Familiarity with NEC and UL508A.
• Experience with Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
• Experience with industrial water treatment system design (UF, clarification, filtration, RO, ion exchange, EDI).
• Knowledge of control system design including motor controls.
• Understanding of Low/Medium Voltage power distribution.
• Familiar with Google Tools, MS Office, SAP and ability to learn other software.
• Willingness to travel 25% and live near a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Prepare P&ID drawings and process documentation.
• Process and review engineering documents (P&IDs, GA, electrical schematics, I/O lists).
• Interpret and follow contract and customer specifications.
• Design detailed control logic for plant operation with safety in mind.
• Support Electrical, Control & Instrumentation design of standard products.
• Assist commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Manage budget, scope, and schedule; report risks and opportunities.
• Develop control system architecture and PLC/HMI programs.
• Prepare schematics, layouts and BOMs for control panels.
• Develop control narratives and operation sequences.
