Job summary

Marand Builders, Inc. is seeking a General Contractor Construction Superintendent with ground-up and renovation experience to lead complex national retail projects from inception to completion.

You will supervise multi-disciplinary teams, manage safety, schedule, and budget, and coordinate with project management and customers. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and a valid OSHA 30.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety compliance (OSHA and Marand safety plan) as a top priority.
• Supervise on-site construction to meet design, budget, schedule, and client objectives.
• Lead weekly on-site meetings with subcontractors, vendors, and others to address schedule, safety, and performance issues.
• Ensure project procedures, safety programs, and work rules are followed.
• Maintain health and safety of workers and ensure proper documentation (daily reports, safety reports).
• Coordinate subcontractor work schedules and assist in updating project construction schedules.
• Verify layouts and establish control lines and grades with subcontractors.
• Maintain on-site field office and professional project image.
