Job summary

ICM Inc. seeks a motivated Field Engineer for our Des Moines, IA location. This role supports industrial construction projects, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors, ensuring high-quality execution.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, and preferably a Bachelor's in Construction Management, alongside 2–5 years of field experience. Competitive salary, benefits, and a supportive work environment await.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years field construction experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Project is required.
• AutoCAD experience is preferred.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

• Assist in the coordination and management of industrial construction projects.
• Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress and report any issues to the project manager.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Assist in preparing project status reports and documentation.
• Contribute to a collaborative and positive work environment.

Education/Certification:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent, required
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or other technically related field, preferred

Required Knowledge & Experience:

• 2–5 years field construction experience preferred.
• Microsoft Project experience required.
• AutoCAD experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID’s)
• Ability to read civil, structural, architectural and mechanical prints.
• Possess excellent computer skills utilizing MS Office products.
