Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. in Louisiana, GA area seeks a Civil Solar Assistant Superintendent to lead field teams on civil projects. Travel to multiple project locations and per-diem support may apply.

The role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence and effective coordination with site teams and engineers. Ideal candidates have a journeyman or engineering degree, plus experience supervising construction work and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certificate or Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Working towards NCSO designation (IND), and enrolled in Gold Seal program as an intern (CDN) preferred.
• 3 years of experience in a field engineer/field coordinator or lead hand/foreman role preferred.
• Successfully supervised a construction workforce.
• Knowledge of construction industry and company operations, materials, specs and methods.
• Understanding of project scope and basic engineering to resolve constructability issues.
• Understanding of project schedules and critical path identification.
• Knowledge of scheduling software and safety/environmental principles.

Responsibilities

• Works with site superintendent and lead PM, implements safety program and maintains records.
• Supervises, directs, coaches, trains, and mentors the project team and reports.
• Communicates effectively with own forces and trades to ensure quality and safety.
• Collaborates with superintendent and project team; anticipates problems and schedule issues.
• Liaises between field engineers and estimators to ensure drawings/specs compliance.
• Participates in Project Execution Plan development and three-week lookahead schedules.
• Monitors and executes the project construction plan and schedule.
• Reviews contract/subcontracts; understands risk and mitigation plans.
• Maintains project administration correspondence and documentation requirements.
