Job summary

TUV SUD America is seeking a motivated risk engineer to support production, mechanical, and electrical equipment risk engineering services for clients. Travel 50-70% domestically, sites vary, and mentorship will help you develop on the job.

You will prepare clear technical reports, build client relationships, participate in meetings, and contribute to service quality. A bachelor's degree in engineering is required; graduates and May 2027 candidates welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong interest in mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems.
• Ability to learn new technical concepts quickly and apply sound judgment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good planning and time management skills, especially when coordinating travel.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Support risk engineering services focused on production, mechanical, and electrical equipment to help clients reduce equipment breakdown risks
• Participate in site inspections and loss control surveys alongside experienced consultants
• Develop technical knowledge through on-the-job mentoring and structured training programs
• Prepare clear, accurate technical reports using established formats and guidelines
• Build professional relationships with clients by acting in a courteous and reliable manner on site
• Support account service teams, including participation in client meetings and presentations
• Contribute to service quality, client satisfaction, and agreed timelines under supervision
