Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a short-term acute care facility. 1+ year of ED and surgical imaging experience required. ARRT and BLS certifications, OBMI, and compact state licensure preferred. Epic charting experience and fluoro/O-ARM skills are advantageous.

The role requires 4x10 hour day shifts 11:30 AM–9:00 PM with Saturdays 11:30 AM–9:00 PM and on-call once monthly. Travel within the state may be possible; housing and licensure reimbursements offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year of radiology experience or more.
• ARRT and BLS certifications required.
• OBMI certification required.
• State license required if applicable; compact license preferred.
• ED and surgical imaging experience required.
• Fluoroscopy and O-arm experience preferred.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Experience with abdomen/GI, limbs, spine, chest, and head imaging.
• Trauma imaging experience preferred.
• Experience in teaching hospital or trauma Level I environments preferred.
• Infection control and radiation safety skills required.

Responsibilities

• X-ray imaging in ED, ICU, NICU, OR, and general patient care.
• Support multiple departments with mobile and surgical imaging including C-Arm and O-ARM.
• Work 4x10 hour day shifts 11:30 AM–9:00 PM with weekend Saturdays 11:30 AM–9:00 PM.
• On-call at least once per month and potential to float between sister facilities.
• Use Epic for charting and operate GE/O-ARM/PACS equipment.

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a short term acute care facility, requiring 1+ year of experience with ED and surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• ARRT(R) and BLS certifications required
• OBMI certification required
• Valid state license required if applicable, compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• ED and surgical experience required
• Fluoroscopy and O-arm experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Experience with abdomen/GI, upper and lower extremity, spine and pelvis, chest and thorax, and head imaging
• Trauma imaging experience for upper and lower extremity preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills in infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation/administration, and radiation safety
• First-time travelers will be considered

Responsibilities

• Short term acute care hospital setting with 418 staffed beds
• X-Ray Tech unit supporting Emergency Department, ICU, NICU, Operating Room, and adult acute/outpatient care
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM
• Weekend shifts required on Saturdays from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM
• On-call required at least once per month
• Potential to float between sister facilities within the state
• Uses Epic for charting
• Equipment includes GE, O-ARM, and PACS systems
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple departments including the Emergency Department, ICU, NICU, and Operating Room
• Conduct mobile/surgical procedures including C-Arm and O-ARM imaging
• Any color scrubs accepted facility-wide
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted up front; post-offer requests may not be granted
• Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travelers
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility unless applying as a local candidate
