American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for an acute care hospital, requiring ARRT (R), BLS, and at least 1 year of experience.

- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification required
- CRT (California Radiologic Technologist) license required if applicable
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
- Skilled in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Knowledge of radiation safety and infection prevention practices
Responsibilities
- 13-week assignment in the X-Ray department of an acute care hospital
- Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Uses Epic charting system
- Patient ratio of 1:40
- Performs general radiographic procedures including abdomen, chest, spine, upper and lower extremity, and skull imaging
- Performs fluoroscopy studies including barium swallow, contrast enema, and arthrography
- Performs mobile and surgical imaging including C-arm procedures, portable chest, and portable abdomen
- Works across adult acute care, outpatient, ED, ICU, OR, and bedside/portable settings
- Equipment used includes GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, PACS, and O-ARM
- Performs diagnostic imaging across multiple patient populations and clinical settings including trauma cases
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Any color scrubs permitted

- Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with the health system, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
