Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to join a 900-bed hospital in New Jersey. The role requires ARRT certification, NJ RT license (as applicable), and 18 months of experience, with the ability to work independently in the OR.

You will operate GE imaging equipment, participate in OR imaging procedures, and may float to a sister hospital while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months experience as an X-Ray Technologist.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiography school.
• ARRT certification required and BLS certification required.
• NJ State RT license required if applicable.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of imaging equipment setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Strong analytical, problem identification, and resolution skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Radiology department at a 900-bed acute care facility.
• Schedule is 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 5 days per week, including every other weekend and on-call shifts.
• On-call coverage required.
• Uses GE imaging equipment.
• Must be comfortable performing imaging procedures in the OR.
• May float to a nearby sister hospital.
• Epic charting system used.
• Perform imaging and treatment procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines.
• Maintain imaging equipment and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Monitor and coordinate daily imaging procedures and revisions as needed.
• Local candidates accepted.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
