American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, requiring ARRT certification and an Illinois radiography license where applicable.

The role includes day shifts, 36 hours per week, travel-ready benefits, and opportunities to assist in other modalities while supporting patient care and department workflow. This travel position offers a generous housing allowance, licensure and travel reimbursements, and a rotating schedule with weekends

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Radiologic Technology certificate required.
• BLS certification required.
• IEMA Radiography License required if applicable.
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Ability to coordinate patient flow and perform multiple technical procedures with initiative.

Responsibilities

• General radiology department performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Utilizes PACS, portable radiographic equipment, and C-arm.
• Day shift schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• 36 hours per week; weekends/holidays on a rotation basis.
• May perform duties of Rad Tech Lead or imaging coordinator in their absence.
• Assist other areas during downtimes to maintain productivity.
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• Returning workers may not be continuously on assignment for more than 1 year at this facility and must take a 6-month break before returning.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• IEMA Radiography License (Illinois) required if applicable
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to coordinate patient flow and perform multiple technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative

Responsibilities

• General radiology department performing diagnostic imaging procedures
• Utilizes PACS, portable radiographic equipment, and C-arm
• Day shift schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday shifts on a rotation basis
• May be required to perform duties of other modalities within the department for which the technologist holds licensure
• Perform radiographic procedures including acquiring and processing patient exams per department protocols
• Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast and respond to adverse or allergic reactions as needed
• Screen patients for pregnancy and perform pregnancy testing when applicable
• Review radiology orders and patient history for completeness, accuracy, and medical necessity
• Transfer and verify image data in PACS and provide clinical information for radiologist interpretation
• Maintain imaging equipment, supply inventory, and workplace organization
• Assist in instructing students and new staff as needed
• May perform duties of Rad Tech Lead or imaging coordinator in their absence
• Assist other areas during downtimes to maintain productivity
