American Traveler is seeking a General Rad Technologist in our hospital imaging department in Washington. ARRT certification and Washington state license are required, along with BLS.

Candidate should have recent Shimadzu portable experience and recent C-arm OR experience with Rad Speed Pro, plus EPIC EMR familiarity. The role involves diagnostic imaging across routine and fluoroscopy, 3x12 shifts totaling 36 hours, on-call duties, and collaboration with radiologists.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Washington State radiologic technologist license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Recent Shimadzu portable experience required.
• Recent C-arm OR experience with Rad Speed Pro required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Must be able to safely lift and transfer patients.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Imaging department setting.
• Shift includes day/evening coverage with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week.
• Schedule runs 0700-1930 with a 30-minute meal break.
• On-call responsibilities required.
• Performs routine, fluoroscopy, operating room, and portable x-ray examinations.
• Uses Shimadzu portable and Rad Speed Pro/C-arm OR equipment.
• Utilizes PACS, RIS, and EPIC EMR systems.
• Reviews and evaluates diagnostic images for technical quality.
• Assists radiologists with fluoroscopic procedures and may perform minor fluoroscopic procedures per certification scope.
• Provides training and supervision to student technologists alongside clinical instructors.
• Communicates with patients' family members or caregivers as needed.
• Applies knowledge of ALARA, Image Gently, and Image Wisely principles.
• Completes required documentation for each examination performed.
• Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements as dictated by regulatory entities.
