Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with Massachusetts licensure (if applicable) and 1+ year of experience for a hospital radiation oncology department working primarily on linear accelerators.

Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, with travel to University campus and other sites as needed. Responsibilities include simulation, treatment planning, and delivering IMRT/SRS therapies using ARIA, TrueBeam, and Varian units.

Qualifications

• MA license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist
• BLS and ARRT (T) certification required
• TrueBeam Linear Accelerator experience preferred
• Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging, CT simulation, and beam modifying/positioning preferred
• Knowledge of radiation safety and billing for treatment types and devices

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department, primarily working on accelerators
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays
• May float primarily to University campus, but also to Memorial, Fitchburg, and Marlborough locations
• Uses treatment units including ARIA, TrueBeam, Varian 21 ex/ix, Varian Trilogy, and Vision RT
• Treats conditions such as brain tumors, craniospinal cases, gynecomastia, keloids, and prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials
• Utilizes IMRT, external beam therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and total body irradiation techniques
• Responsible for simulation of treatment sites and pretreatment planning
• Scrubs or business casual attire with lab coat required
• Accepts local candidates within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
