Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT-T certification and 1+ year of experience for an acute care hospital's radiation oncology department in Eureka, CA.

The role involves pretreatment, simulation, and implementing treatment plans with IMRT, SRS, external beam therapy, and respiratory gating. You will work with Elekta Synergy/Infinity, Mosaiq, and C-RAD systems, perform EFT charting in Epic, and ensure radiation safety.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Radiation Therapist
• BLS and ARRT-T certifications required
• Compact state license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with adult acute care and outpatient settings
• Experience treating multiple cancers (e.g., Hodgkin\'s Lymphoma, Kidney Cancer, Leukemia, Non-Hodgkin\'s Lymphoma, Pancreatic Cancer)
• Skills in beam modifying/positioning, CBCT imaging, MV imaging and shielding
• Ability to teach patients and families and to perform chart checks
• Experience with lift/transfer devices and care of patients in restraints

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting with 150 staffed beds
• Day shift: 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• May float between units and sister facilities
• Uses Epic for electronic charting
• Advanced treatments: IMRT, SRS, external beam therapy, respiratory gating
• Treatment units: Elekta Synergy and Elekta Infinity
• Uses Mosaiq and C-RAD systems
• Pretreatment, simulation, and supervision of treatment plans
• Follow radiation safety protocols and PPE requirements
• First-time travelers accepted with required experience
• Local candidates within 50-mile travel rate eligibility
• RTO must be submitted at consideration; limited post-offer flexibility
• Commitment to 3 of 5 major holidays
• Free parking on first day; orientation parking arranged

• Experience with adult acute care and outpatient settings
• Experience treating a variety of cancers including Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Kidney Cancer, Leukemia, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and Pancreatic Cancer
• Skills in beam modifying/positioning, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, and custom shielding
• Ability to perform patient/family teaching and chart checks
• Experience with lift/transfer devices and care of patients in restraints

• Responsibilities include pretreatment, simulation of treatment sites, and supervising implementation of treatment plans
• Role involves radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions/PPE
• Black scrubs required for Radiology staff
• First-time travelers accepted with required experience
• Returning former employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted, with a 50-mile radius rule for travel rate eligibility
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, with limited flexibility post-offer
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
• Free parking provided on first day, with assignment parking arranged during orientation
