Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with 2+ years of adult acute care experience and TrueBeam expertise for a hospital oncology department. This travel assignment requires ARRT(T) certification, AHA BLS, and licensure if applicable.

You will work in a hospital-based Radiation Oncology department with 4x10 hour day shifts, no weekends or on-call, and no floating. Proficiency with IMRT, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, and Epics/Aria is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT(T) certification required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Adult acute care work experience required.
• TrueBeam experience required.
• Prior travel experience required.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with IMRT, respiratory gating, and CBCT/kV/mV imaging preferred.
• Skilled in beam modifying and positioning techniques.
• Experience treating a variety of cancer diagnoses including lymphoma, prostate, and pancreatic cancer.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department treating all cancer diagnoses.
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• No floating required.
• Uses TrueBeam LINAC and Orfit setup equipment.
• Advanced treatment modalities including Hyperarc, IGRT, SRS/SBRT, and DIBH.
• Uses Epic/Aria for charting.
• Deliver radiation therapy treatments across a wide range of cancer diagnoses and treatment techniques.
• Perform chart checks and adhere to radiation safety protocols.
• Use lift/transfer devices as needed for patient care.
• Complete facility-specific orientation modules within the first week of assignment.
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during select weeks.
• Not open to first-time travelers.
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles may be considered under a different pay structure.
• Previous UCHealth employees and certain returning travelers may face rebooking restrictions.
