Job summary

Powerback is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist Assistant to provide therapy across multiple settings on a 13-week assignment basis. The role requires flexibility to travel nationwide and temporary residence away from the primary home, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

The ideal candidate will graduate from an accredited PTA program and hold licensure or be eligible for licensure, with the ability to document services and collaborate with the rehab team to optimize patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.
• Must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care and meetings as a representative of physical therapy under the direction of the PT.
• Deliver rehab services per plan of care with timely documentation.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team to implement patient programs.
• Assist PT during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in treatment techniques.
• Maintain documentation for all patients treated.
• Maintain and report on equipment condition and repairs as needed.
• Put patient service first with a compassionate approach.
• Implements individualized treatment plans with supervision.
• Provide therapy including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, and other modalities.
