Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Riverside, California. The PT will evaluate patients in acute care, develop and execute a plan of care, and coordinate with a hospital team.

The role includes supervising PTAs, billing per facility guidelines, and ensuring documentation meets state and insurance requirements. The position requires at least 6 months of PT experience (1 year preferred), BLS, and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; may bend, lean or stoop.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• BLS and other certifications may be required before starting assignment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and create a plan of care for acute care patients.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the respective setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians for team-focused care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and modify plans of care as needed.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely documentation following state and insurance guidelines.
