Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Traveling Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Hartford, CT. The PT will evaluate and treat patients, educate them and caregivers, and support discharge planning in hospital, clinic, or rehab settings.

The role offers 40 hours per week, days shift, and comprehensive travel benefits. Licensure and BLS are required; a DPT is preferred for advanced practice and patient care. New grads may apply.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' conditions using tests and history to identify needs.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessments and goals.
• Implement treatments to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate PT equipment safely and maintain devices.
• Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and therapists to coordinate care.
• Educate patients on home programs and injury prevention.
• Maintain safe treatment environment and follow infection control guidelines.
• Participate in quality assurance and professional development.
• Assist in discharge planning for transitions to home or community settings.
