Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Norwich, CT. The role offers a 40-hour work week, day shifts, and opportunities to impact patient mobility and quality of life. You’ll work within a supportive clinical team across hospital, clinic, and rehab settings.

Requirements include a valid PT license and current BLS certification. Preferred candidates may hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and have experience in travel roles.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Doctorate degree in physical therapy (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using tests, examinations, and history to identify needs.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessments and goals.
• Implement treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate PT equipment safely and maintain devices.
• Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Engage in quality assurance and professional development.
• Assist with discharge planning for community/home-based settings.
