Job summary
Primary Care Solutions is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to provide short-term coverage at VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) across multiple states. This on-site, patient-facing role offers flexible scheduling, typically 1 week per month or more depending on need, with Sunday travel and Friday return.
Applicants must hold an MSN, be eligible for multi-state licensure, VA credentials, and board certification in FNP/AGPCNP.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN required).
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or AGPCNP or other primary care specialty.
- Active, unrestricted state licenses where services are provided.
- Active DEA registration where applicable.
- Current BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and examinations.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
- Review labs, imaging, and diagnostics to guide care.
- Document encounters accurately within the VA EHR (VISTA/CPRS).
- Coordinate care with PACT team members and ensure standards.
