American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographic Technologist with at least 1 year of sleep medicine experience for a night shift position in a hospital sleep lab.

The role requires monitoring patients during sleep studies, performing polysomnographic recordings, CPAP/BiPAP titration, and educating patients on sleep disorders. Night shifts, weekend duties, and a 36-hour work week are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• 1 year of sleep medicine experience is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• One of RPGST, RST, or SDS certification is required.
• License required if applicable.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in patient monitoring, sleep studies, and CPAP/BiPAP therapy.

Responsabilités

• Hospital-based sleep lab setting.
• Night shift 6:00 PM–6:30 AM, 3 days per week.
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs.
• 36 hours per week on a 12-hour shift schedule.
• Perform routine and complex polysomnographic recordings and interpret monitoring equipment parameters.
• Educate patients on sleep studies, sleep apnea, and CPAP titration procedures.
• Connect and disconnect patients from electrodes and assist with related paperwork.
• Monitor patients throughout sleep studies and respond according to department policy.
• Administer CPAP/BiPAP therapy in accordance with department procedures.
• Follow department and hospital-wide policies while providing quality patient care.
• Work collaboratively with the team while demonstrating strong independent judgment.
