Job summary

Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking a General Manager for a quick service restaurant inside a travel plaza. You will oversee day-to-day operations, drive profitability, manage a dedicated team, and ensure brand standards and safety.

You will lead staffing, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration with partners, HR, and maintenance to deliver high-quality guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of experience as a supervisor or unit-level manager in a QSR.
• Available for a flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours/week (days, nights, weekends, holidays).
• Stand/walk for extended periods and lift/carry at least 20 pounds.
• Occasionally travel to support other locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day activities of associates and managers within the QSR to achieve or exceed targeted objectives around sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality & safety standards.
• Maintain operating budgets, inventory controls, food and labor costs, gross profit, and reporting.
• Ensure the QSR consistently meets or exceeds brand standards and food safety requirements.
• Foster an engaging work culture of learning, development, and recognition.
• Consistently recruit, develop, and retain a strong team to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, promotion, disciplinary action, termination, or transfer of the QSR team.
