Onvo is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead daily travel plaza operations, including the convenience store, fuel forecourt, and food service areas. You will work closely with the General Manager to drive sales, manage staff, and ensure outstanding guest experiences.

The role emphasizes coaching, recruiting, scheduling, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards while supporting profitability and operational excellence across departments.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of management, supervisory, or leadership experience in retail, convenience store, restaurant, fuel, or hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with inventory management, cash handling, and operational procedures.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with POS systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily travel plaza operations.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members to provide fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Assist with recruiting, training, onboarding, and developing team members.
• Help create employee schedules that support business needs and labor goals.
• Ensure the store, fuel forecourt, food service areas, and restrooms remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, stocking, and product rotation.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, food safety regulations, and brand requirements.
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist with cash management, daily deposits, audits, and other financial controls.
• Monitor sales performance and support initiatives that drive revenue and profitability.
• Conduct opening and closing procedures, including shift handoffs and operational reporting.
• Step in as Manager on Duty when the General Manager is unavailable.
