Job summary

Acuren is seeking Pipeline Technicians for operations in Quinnesec, MI and surrounding areas. This travel-intensive role requires up to 90% travel across Michigan and nearby states, with 10% time at the home division location.

Work in pipeline integrity services, performing field examinations, data analysis, and reporting to support customers’ programs. 90% field activity, 10% office, independent work in remote areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or 1+ year of college coursework.
• Experience in pipeline integrity or maintenance roles preferred.
• Candidate must have Magnetic Particle Testing Level 2 and Ultrasonic Thickness Level 2.
• One of the following endorsements: Creaform 3D Laser Scanning, Automated Corrosion Scan Mapping, Ultrasonic Phased Array or TOFD, In-situ Material Verification.
• NACE CIP Level I / CP Level I preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to procedures and specifications, including reports.
• Perform direct assessment of pipe condition and coating, soils, topography, and cathodic protection.
• Examine pipe for cracks, corrosion, deformation, and anomalies.
• Correlate pipe features to ILI logs and update databases.
• Write pipeline integrity inspection reports and assist with reporting.
• Provide quality services in a timely manner and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
