Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a responsible Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to travel across Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk, and Wilton, CT, delivering home-based physical therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, and support the clinical team in a patient-centered home care setting.

The role requires state licensure as a PTA, a valid driver's license with reliable transportation, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Required CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient ability to assist in physical therapy tasks including lifting, transferring, and mobility.
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and plan-of-care as defined by supervising PT.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, and safety.
