Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our home-based care team in Windham, Maine. You will deliver hands-on therapy in patients' residences, following individualized plans and under licensed supervision, contributing to high-quality home care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association
• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
• Able and willing to travel 50%
• Must have a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance in accordance with state laws
• Able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently and be able to lift 50-100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and physician's orders
• Follows Plan of Care as established by Physical Therapist and reports changes to the Physical Therapist
• Instructs patients and/or families in home therapy programs
• Maintains patient care quality and continuity of care while working in home settings

Education
