Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home care team in Saugus, MA. You will deliver direct PT services in patients’ homes, following the Plan of Care and supervising guidelines. Travel up to 50% with a reliable vehicle is required."

You’ll support patients and families with safe exercises, and coordinate with the supervising PT to ensure consistent, high-quality care across diverse home settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.
• Able to travel within branch/office coverage area up to 50% travel.
• Must have dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services in home care settings.
• Follow the Plan of Care established by the Physical Therapist and report changes.
• Instruct patients and families in home exercise programs and use of assistive devices.
• Coordinate with supervising Physical Therapist and clinical staff to ensure quality care.
• Work in a potentially high-stress, physically demanding environment and manage lifting 50–100 lbs.
