Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Rehab Physical Therapist for a 13-week day shift assignment in an acute rehabilitation hospital setting in Alaska. The role requires 1 year of PT experience, BLS, and an Alaska license or compact license where applicable.

LTAC experience and Epic charting are preferred. You will work with orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic cases, including stroke, spinal cord injury, and joint replacements, with access to adaptive devices and modalities in a

• Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and use of assistive and adaptive devices
• Experience with orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic rehabilitation preferred

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital with an attached 10-bed LTACH/ICU unit (56 total staffed beds)
• Shift options of 5x8 or 4x10 day shifts, 7:00-17:00
• 2 weekend shifts per month required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic for charting
• Patient population includes orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, TBI, COPD, CHF, and joint replacements
• Utilizes various adaptive devices, mobility aids, and modalities including E-stim and TENS
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across inpatient rehab and LTACH/ICU settings
• May involve use of adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and therapeutic modalities
• Travel considerations may apply; Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered

• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
