Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a day-shift assignment at a rural hospital in Michigan. The role requires outpatient PT experience and an active Michigan PT license, with Epic EMR usage and a collaborative care approach.

The ideal candidate will perform patient evaluations, develop and update treatment plans, and educate patients and families about prognosis and rationale. No weekend or on-call shifts; attire is business casual.

Qualifications

• Requires PT experience in outpatient setting
• Active BLS certification required
• Active Michigan PT license required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient rehab in a rural hospital setting
• Day shift 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• No weekends or on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR to document care
• Evaluate, plan treatment, and coordinate with physicians and staff
• Delegate tasks to PTAs and aides
• Educate patients/families on condition, treatment rationale, and prognosis
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans based on assessment data

Responsibilities

• Outpatient rehabilitation services setting in a 49-bed rural hospital
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR
• Responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment planning, and coordination of care with physicians and support staff
• Delegates responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides
• Educates patients and families on condition, treatment rationale, and prognosis
• Develops and updates individualized treatment plans based on assessment data
• Business casual dress code
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
