Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of outpatient experience for a day-shift assignment in Taos, NM. The role focuses on evaluation and treatment in an outpatient clinic, with a 5x8 schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, treating patients referred by physicians or through direct access, and collaborating with rehab nurses and physicians.

• Current BLS certification required.
• NM state license required before start.
• Experience with charting systems required.
• Skills in assessment, body mechanics, ortho and neuro care preferred.
• Experience with home exercise programs and patient/family education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient PT clinic setting.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Treats patients referred by physicians or through direct access.
• Works with injured worker populations, including Return to Work and post offer testing programs.
• Performs Work Hardening Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and ergonomic or job analysis assessments.
• Utilizes various modalities and exercise equipment available in the clinic.
• Evaluates and treats patients, supervises PT assistants, and directs PT technicians on cleaning and organizational tasks.
• Provides weekly updates to rehab nurses and maintains communication with referring physicians.
• May assist with scheduling, answering phones, and processing referrals as needed.
• Understanding of billing codes for various payer types required.
• Opportunity to participate in community outreach and business development activities.
• Open to first-time travelers.
