Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Waldorf, Maryland. The position requires 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates) with BLS and state licensing.

The PT will evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care in the acute care setting. Responsibilities include supervising PTAs, billing per guidelines, collaborating with medical staff to ensure a team-based plan, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 1 year of PT experience; new grads may apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop a plan of care for diverse patient populations in acute care.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-based plan of care.
• Provide timely documentation following state/insurance guidelines.
