TotalMed Allied seeks a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Mesa, AZ. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and execute plans of care in an acute care setting, and supervise therapy staff.

The candidate should have 1 year of experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional cases), BLS, and valid state licensure. Expect 40 hours/week, days shift, with a pay package and tax-free stipends as applicable.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience in physical therapy; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates
• BLS certification and state licensure required
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform manual therapy tasks
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop a plan of care for diverse patient populations.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the facility following applicable policies and payer guidelines.
• Collaborate with Medical Center staff and physicians to coordinate a team-based plan of care.
• Utilize adaptive equipment and modify the plan of care as needed.
• Document timely and compliant notes per state and insurer rules.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Mesa, AZ. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
