Job summary

TotalMed Allied is actively seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Tucson, AZ. The PT will evaluate patients and develop plans of care in the acute care setting, supervising PTAs and coordinating with medical staff.

Immediate travel opening with a 13-week duration and 40 hours per week. Requirements include 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates), BLS, and state licensing.

Qualifications

• 1 year of PT experience preferred; 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods and perform required movements.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop a plan of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting.
• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff, and therapy technicians.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Tucson, Arizona.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Tucson, AZ. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience (new grads encouraged to apply). Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• BLS, 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
